Now finf a 'kindle content' with the same name. Sort by date modified (latest on top), note the funny name. This sets the date Modified in explorer.Ģ)View (explorer), My Kindle content. Here is what I do ti identify a specific book:ġ) Open the book in KFPC, move a page fwd or back, then view (go back) the Library again. Is there a step I have missed? Or a way to put them right from Kindle to Calibre without going through my computer? When I go to Calibre and open them I just get a message saying it can't be opened. I have tried to Add Books to my Calibre library, and choose the _EBOK files.but when I open them farther, none of the sub-folders are there. When I click on those to open them, there are 7 (i don't know what to call them? Sub-folders?) that say they are File Folders, Kindle Content, PHL File, and RES File. ![]() When I open that there is a bunch of funny named folders that end in _EBOK. I now have a My Kindle Content folder in my Documents. ![]() #PUT BOOK ON KINDLE CALIBRE 2018 PC#Once it downloads, it should sync properly.I have downloaded books from my Kindle for PC onto my computer. Note: If syncing is not available on your fire when you download the book, delete it, close Kindle and Docs apps, rerun Docs, go to Send-To-Kindle tab, and click the book there. You can have both mobi and azw3 formats that way. (Both have the sync menu as well).įinally, if syncing is not important for you and you want the book to appear under Books in Kindle Fire, convert it to AZW3 format with Calibre, and use Calibre to send it to device by connecting it via USB cable. This allows your Paperwhite copy to be synchronized with the Fire copy. Paperwhite devices will automatically see the book sent to the library, and can download it from there. Using send to kindle, send the book to all your Fire devices, and to the Kindle library, but not to Paperwhite devices. The next step is sending the book to devices. You can also use Calibre, if you don’t like CLI (terminal) applications, to convert the HTML into mobi, or use Amazon’s send to device tools. It will inform you of any issues or warnings, and generate a basic mobi file. It is a terminal app that you run, with the following syntax: $ kindlegen mybook.html -verbose -o mybook.mobi My personal choice for that is the “kinglegen” app. The next step would be to convert this to. Put the entire Kindle book between the BODY tags in the above HTML template, save with UTF-8 encoding. You can also download this template here: Kindle RTL Template. I was using “rtl” attribute towards the HTML tag instead of BODY tag: The following is the HTML template that needs to be used for the book. The most important part of the solution was to use the proper HTML template for the book. Basically, to achieve that, we need two different versions of the book on the Paperwhite (.mobi) and the Fire (.azw3), and that would mean that they won’t sync properly. #PUT BOOK ON KINDLE CALIBRE 2018 PDF#Select the PDF and click >Convert Books.#PUT BOOK ON KINDLE CALIBRE 2018 PLUS#Its the green book with a plus + symbol at the top-left corner of the app. #PUT BOOK ON KINDLE CALIBRE 2018 FULL#Unfortunately the solution that I came up with does not show the book under “Books” tab in Kindle Fire. pdf ' with the full name of the PDF file, and 'output.mobi' with the desired output file name. I have a Paperwhite, and a Fire, and wanted them both to fully support the generated book in RTL, and also support the same book (not two different versions of it), so that it synchs properly. The problem was that these books would not display/sync properly on my kindles. Im trying to copy my books from 'My Kindle content' to Calibre and I get this Failed to start worker process Traceback (most recent call last): File 'site-packagescalibreutilsipcpool. I created a script that snatches these pages, stitches them together and forms a huge HTML file (one for each book). mobi format, but were available as online books, in many html pages. Many of the books that I wanted to read on my Kindle(s), were in Arabic or Persian, and were also available freely online. ![]()
